I know what you are talking about PP but for some reason I can't remember whether its Baawra Mann or some other song that plays then. But I remember the picturization. Need to watch the movie again.

i saw this clip when i watched Ghost World (one of my favorite movies ever) and loved it so much, i ended up buying the DVD of Gumnaam just for the song

My favorite movie for music. All songs were outstanding.. Ek ladki ko dekhoon and Kuch na kaho are my all-time favorite songs. RD Burman showed what true genius is with this film. IT was sad how unappreciated and lonely he was when he died.. he didn't even live long enough to see the success of 1942-A love story.

I know - I am a huge RD Burman fan. The RD-Kishore Kumar combination is just unbeatable.

All the songs in 1942-ALS were really good and picturized beautifully.

How true. I seriously can listen to only RD-Kishore songs for the rest of my life and not want for anything else. Both of them were true musical geniuses. And it showed in all their compositions.. be it fast-paced, Western-inspired tunes like in Hum Kisisise Kam nahin, Rocky and Satte pe Satta to emotional, soft scores from movies like Ghar, Ijazat, Golmaal and such.
