Abhishek to play tough cop again

It's a known fact that Rohan Sippy and Abhishek Bachchan are childhood friends. Since they get along, they have collaborated on Kuch Naa Kaho and Bluffmaster. In fact, when Rohan didn't work with Abhishek, his film (CC2C) flopped. So he is probably his lucky charm.
Rohan and Abhishek have wanted to work together for a while but they didn't want to venture into the drama and romance genre again. So they have decided to collaborate on a gritty crime thriller in which Abhishek will play an undercover cop. A source tells us that the movie is based on the drug trafficking scene in Goa. The inspired-by-a-true-story movie will be shot in Goa itself and will go on the floors next year. Abhishek is learning all he can about the drug scene in Goa; how dealers operate and how drugs are used and how cops deal with drug peddlers and addicts. Abhishek wants his performance to be as true-to-life as possible and will also meet a few cops from the Narcotics Department.
Our source adds that though Abhishek has played a tough cop before in Dhoom and Dhoom 2, this movie is nothing like it because the subject is more serious and he doesn't have any funny sidekick. Abhishek will also sport a tan.
When contacted, Rohan Sippy said, "Can't speak about the film. But I am concentrating on a Sridhar Raghavan film in which Abhishek is playing the lead role."
