Girlfriend forgotten

The film's unit is still talking about the romantic dinners, long walks on the beach, and cosy evenings the couple spent together. Emraan's long-time girlfriend Parveen, who was briefly present in Mauritius, was soon forgotten as Celina and Emraan enjoyed their rollicking affair.

Devilish Immie

Though it was Celina who recently confided in a close friend about her "affection" for Hashmi, we had the news confirmed from Emraan's uncle, Mahesh Bhatt, and close friend, director Mohit Suri (whose Kalyug, starring Hashmi, releases next month).

When quizzed about his nephew's Mauritius fling, Bhatt said, "I heard about Emraan and Celina's fling after the unit returned from Mauritius. The boys were talking about it one day in the editing room; they were teasing Emraan about it. But Emraan hasn't told me anything. He always behaves like a very good, hard-working boy in front of me, though I can see the devilish glint in his eye."

Emraan confessed

Said Mohit Suri, "It's true that Emraan and Celina had a brief, romantic interlude in Mauritius while shooting for Jawani Diwani. Emraan told me about it during one of our conversations. I can't give any more details — Emraan will kill me! We have sworn not to tell each other's secrets. But I don't think they are in touch after they returned to Mumbai."

Celina's worries

Emraan, who is in North Korea for Vishesh Films' Gangster, was unavailable for comment, but Celina finally gave the game away.

"Tell me who told you this. Please tell me the name of the person!" she pleaded, but insisted that Emraan and she were "just very good friends. I don't want to talk about my personal life and explain to people if I have a best friend or am having an affair. Once that happens, my chances of having a relationship with anyone get jeopardised," she sniffs.

He's a gentleman

Did she know Emraan prior to Jawani Diwani? "Emraan and I were to act together in Anant Mahadevan's Aksar, but because of date problems, I couldn't do the film. Then I came to know him well during JD; he's quite a gentleman, very well behaved and well mannered… please don't write that I am having a scene with Emraan. Poor thing, what will his girlfriend think?" We wonder too.
