Salman was missing at the high points of the movie because it was mostly about Shilpa fighting for her right but the last few scenes where he is apologizing to her, he was really really good!

I think salman is really good at doing drama movies. Yes, shilpa was mindblowing. The story was about her character and that's why less of salman was there.

Actresses can reach heights easily as compared to actors. Some, yes, do it because of their acting, as mentioned - such as the likes of Shabana Azmi, but SOME barely need to act and reach stardom. Name one actor in recent times that is as famous as Katrina, for no darn reason? Has any actor in recent times broken the dominance of the 3 Khans, whereas you see actresses who can barely act overshadowing those who can with their slutty outfits, obscene movie scenes and whatnot. Glamor can take an actress to new heights in bollywood, whereas with actors that is certainly not the case. Yes, there are a lot of actors who are over rated, and same goes for actresses, but with all honesty actresses can reach heights in no time, without even putting much of effort. There are always exceptions, but actresses can get hyped up way more than actors.

n ohh..i loved him in almost all his movies...mere yaar...,mohabbatien....,yahhan(👏)....n he's done maachis.....which was awsum....

but oh..he's done some horrible B grade movies ttoo,n looked terrible with coloured hair...🤢

It goes both ways.

Immensely talented actresses are written off after a certain age because they're considered "too old". The reason actresses can reach the top so easily is PRECISELY that reason. THeir career spans are significantly shorter than their male counterparts, so newer actresses find it easier to replace the older ones, who after a while embrace a marreid life and retire.

Think of actresses like Karisma, Kajol, Raveena, and many others who are beautiful beautiful women, very talented as well, but because of htis trend of married women and age, they have let go of their careers.

In comparison, you have actors from the 90s ruling even today. The men that used to romance Pooja BHatt, now romance the lieks of Deepika.

And BECAUSE OF THEIR longer careers, they have time to mature, to garner more experiences than their female counterparts.

Think of Saif. When he started out, he was pathetic.

But with time, he learned. He became more experienced over hte 16 years he struggled. Do you think an actress could have lasted that long?
Actors liek Saif, Akshay,a nd Aamir have reached their career peaks after 15 years!

Actresses dont have that much time. They ahve to accomplish all that within 5, 6 years.

Rani is just as talented, if not mroe talented, than Akshay Kumar. But her career grown slowing down because of age factor and how our audiences lose interest in these girls when they strike 30 because of the influx of younger faces.

I think Vivek overdid it in Saathiya too by the way. Personally, I know criticizing Saathiya is a no-no here. But if you see the performances of Maddy and Shalini in Alaipayuthey, then Rani and Vivek's performances pale in comparison. Though I suppose one should not expect Shaad Ali to draw out the same great performances that Mani Ratnam can. Even though Shaad did his best to copy frame by frame what Mani Ratnam did in AP, he still could not capture for me the same essence.

*Just my two cents.
