Have you noticed Vishal Bhardwaj heroines…they not our normal day heroines who dance around the trees or where short shirts. Instead they have this splendid look, which is sweet, sexy, hot and everything at the same time. They don't have much makeup on but still manage to look good and they always win hearts of their audiences.
Kaminey – priyanka
Omkara – kareena, Konkona, Bipasha
Maqbool – tabu
Ishqiya – Vidya

I guess he doesn't try to make his actress look the best but focuses more their roles and acting.

so true if only all filmakers were like him and not use a heroine just a eye candy,another director who gives his heriones roles of importance is mani rathnam ,i think its truely laudable.

true... i love vishal's work... he's extremely talented...

and you're right... his heroines are not just mere eye candy... they have depth to their characters... not to mention, he gets the best out of each and every one of them...
