Riya, I think taht article that said shahid and kareena had patched up was an attempt by someone to keep their break up under wraps. Remember Imtiaz was apprehensive aobut how the break up would affect his film? I think that's why both shahid and kareena never spoke about it.

In between, Kareena even went to Canada for one trip. I think the break up happened either before he went to canada or during it.

Then there was one day when shahid and kareena had a really bad fight apparently as well.

We just know that saif vocalized hsi feelings for her in August.

One article said that shahid and kareena had been having trouble for a very long time.

I think saif might have speeded up what was happening. Maybe shahid didnt like the fact that kareena woudl confide her problems in him? Coz I know some guys would be like, why the hell are you telling him our problems?

But then for a girl, maybe it wouldnt seem like that much of a big deal, that arright, we're having problems, I need someone to talk to, and saif was right there. And he does seem oh so easy to talk to, super friendly, and whatnot.

So I think maybe going to canada was one last attempt for both of them to make things work, but I guess i didnt work.

My guess, kareena went back.

She was hurt, shahid was hurt, it ended on a bad note.

Back home in tashan, she had only one person who was around her all the time. Saif.

He started taking her out to lunches to cheer her up, since Akki was married na dit wouldnt look proper, and anil was older.

Cue incident in Ladakh, I'm sure there's a video of that somewhere.

Pretty soon, the media gets a whiff of things being over between shahid and kareena, and they put two and two together, and midday comes out with that first article, KAPUT, lmao.

Kareena dumps shahid for saif, etc etc etc.

News starts coming out, saif menawhile, clearly denies and says that we're just firends, and it woudl be silly to insinuate anything more than that. And that's true, in early August when these rumours first started coming out, Saif denied it.

As August progresses, the rumors becoming more frequent, they're seen in more places. I think cue shahid who starts to hear these reports and feels that oh so maybe it was saif after all.

First picture of saif and kareena in restaurant comes out. They both still remain numb. Kareena's questioned about saif, she refuses to stay silent. She's asked about her relationshi pwith shahid, she refuses to comment. As days go by, its time for shahid to come back, she starts saying, let shahid come back, he'll explain everything. Shahid is seen at the airport, I even remember what the caption said, "wtih his smile intact".

Shahid and Kareena appear on Nach Baliye, both still remain numb.

Not much interaction on Nach Baliye except both are cordial and supposedly go for a 20 min break of coffee together (reported).

Then shahid appears on Jhalak, announces he's single.

Next day, Lakme Fashion week happens, and Saifeena come out.
