Sony's new look

Sony TV is all set for a revamp. The channel plans on launching a whole battalion of new shows with interesting subjects that will commence on May 25, after the Indian Premier League ends.

A source says, "The new shows will be of all kinds, including fiction, comedy, realities and many others. The channel will concentrate mainly on fictional shows and the subjects shown will be those that have never been dealt with on TV before."

And for a change, some of the shows will have material that brings a smile to viewers faces says the source, adding, "The shows will include subjects that make people happy and relaxed. It will be the perfect viewing after a long day at the office rather than saas bahu sagas that make people weep."

Here's a look at what's in store for viewers after May 25 (2009):

Dus Ka Dum 2
Last season, Dus Ka Dum garnered good responses because of Salman Khan's popularity. As a result, the channel is all set to launch the second season on May 31 (2009). Through Dus Ka Dum 2, viewers will get another chance to see Salman's lighthearted side. The show will have the same format as last year (2008).
