Sridevi gets art-smart!
Mumbai: At a time when the speculation is rife that Sridevi is working hard to make a comeback to movies, After Hrs has found out that she is actually devoting a large part of her time to painting. It probably shouldn't come as a surprise given that she's known for being an avid art lover. But what's interesting is that she also seems to be a very good painter. Says a source very close to the actor, "Sridevi finds art very therapeutic and she has been learning art for a few months now."
So much so that the actor has appointed an art teacher for herself who visits her often to teach her the nuances of fine arts. What's more, Sridevi is also a very diligent and bright student - someone who boasts of 'loads of creativity', if her close associates are to be believed.Understandably then, she spends quite a few hours in her art class to perfect her brush strokes on the canvas.
Our source reveals, "Artist Rakesh Pattnaik is her art teacher. He teaches her the advanced techniques and nuances of fine art. In fact, Sridevi was keen on learning art from Salman Khan's art teacher but somehow that didn't work out and now she is learning it from Rakesh." And in keeping with the low profile that the actor has been maintaining, she is very discreet about her new passion and hence, guards her private studio very jealously. "She doesn't want it to be public knowledge that she is learning art," the source further adds. Now, we wonder why she would want to hide that?
