Sonam's print ad for L'oreal White Perfect day cream is out and she looks absolutely flawless in it. But how much help did her perfect visage get from the experts behind the advertisement?
Take a look:
First of all, dusky Sonam's complexion has been lightened because it is an ad for a fairness cream.
Her forehead is the same but her eyebrows have been threaded and arched upwards. Naturally, her eyebrows are arched downwards. She has worn honey coloured lenses while her eyes are naturally a warm brown.
Now here's the major discrepancy: Sonam has a decent nose but it isn't as sharp as it looks in the ad. As you can see, it has been sharpened and lengthened. The bridge of her real nose is kind of blunt but in the ad, the bridge has a definite and long curve. Even the tip of her nose has been pointed to perfection. Overall, her nose appears longer and better defined than it actually is. Also Sonam's natural lips are not as plump as shown in the ad. The lips in the ad are full and the lower lip is pouted.
While Sonam has an almost oval face, in the ad, her face has been lengthened, giving her higher cheekbones and a longer and better defined, angular jaw line.
The result of the make up tricks and system correction is a flawless picture. It will help promote and sell the fairness cream and our obsession with 'white perfection' and fair skin will continue.
