If rumours are to be believed, then Salman will soon get an Alsatian pup at his Bandra home. The star, who's still grieving the death of his pet Myson who died of a heart attack last week, is thinking of bringing in another pup for his other pet Myjaan. And apparently it's girlfriend Katrina Kaif who's thinking about gifting the pup to the star as a surprise.
Salman, who is currently shooting for his home production Veer in Jaipur, is concerned about his other pet and has been reportedly advised that bringing in a pup is the best way to get Myjaan out of his depression.
"Myjaan has gone into depression after the death of Myson. The two dogs grew up together and they were always together. Myjan was the bully and he always had a fight to pick with Myson. But after the death, he has completely gone silent. He is not even eating properly," says a source.
Though Dr Sangeeta Vengsarkar, who treated Myson and still regularly sees Myjan, didn't want to comment on whether she advised Salman to get a pup, at the same time Sangeeta says that bringing in another pup is the best remedy for a dog who's grieving his partner's death.
"When your pet dies, there's a huge void in your life. Same happens with a dog if he loses his partner. In all such cases, it's best to allow the pet sufficient time to grieve and introduce him to a new member of the family. That is the best remedy for both the guardian and the other pet," Sangeeta says.
The only problem, Salman's family members say, is that the star is still grieving the loss and feels that bringing in another pup will be like 'replacing' Myson. "Though he is not ready to bring in a pup now, he still might do it for the sake of Myjaan," says a family member.
