I agree...once she is a bit more settled in her acting career and since she has Anil Kapoor as back up Sona should try get her degree....slowly but do it anyways....it would be good for her in the long run :-) I am sure if she tries she can do it even though she might never need it but you never know what the future holds...

yes, i knew about Shabana Azmi and Preity.. thanks for posting about Amrita as well.. i think that is really admrable that they finished their education besides anything else..
also, Amitabh Bachan has a science degree, i believe.. Shahrukh has finished his college.. and i think Saif has also finished his college degree.. and i don't know but someone is also an engineer.. lol.. 😳

don't they all ...yes they don't all 😉

I agree higher education is important...that's why SRK seems to be so witty in his interviews (masters in mass communications) and his minor in economics helps him invest his money in all the right places .

Its important to have a basic graduation degree even if you are in the acting career.

These star kids are an exception. They are fortunate they have rich parents who have lots of money to fall back on even if their careers don't work.

As far as Sachin Tendulkar is concerned ...its a fact many young boys give up their studies to pursue cricket. How many are really successful?
The truth is what may work for a person in their favor may not work for the other. That's where destiny/ luck and other factors work....

Its a fact that millions of kids / students in India and all over the world depend only education to make their lives.

I don't think reading books is an supplement to a graduation degree. Formal education is a necessity not a want or a luxury.

i completely agree with you..........in India a degree is necessary to earn a good living.......simply studying upto 10th or 12th gets you nowhere........those who have done so are very few & truly lucky.

Sonam can still go back...it's never too late!! If people in their 50s can go back and get an degree, she can too....education is very important but I guess it's not that essential for people that are financially secure....

At least Sonam regrets it. 😕

The most educated actresses are Shabana Azmi with a degree in Psych., Amrita Rao also with a degree in Psychology and Preity Zinta with degrees in english and a postgrad in criminal psych.

WOW Preity is really educated isn't she. WOW I didn't know that fact.
Oh well, I gues sonama regrets it, others would be like wahey I did't have to go through all that stress, and not worth it ladedadadeda

i rly find this soo strange n ironic. these rich ppl who hv all the money in the world to study dont study and discontinue it and poor ppl who badly want to study can't as their parents cant afford the high fees esp in professonal courses like medicene , Mba n all and they have to seettle for somethin lke B-COM OR BA. Rly sad!!

I think she should continue it some way or another. Education is an on going process, and a very important thing too!
