I remember Sushmita Sen calling her longtime boyfriend after winning the Miss Universe title and telling him that its over. It seemed rude to the guy who stood by her all that time. She hoped big things but she is still in Bollywood with not that many assignments.
Here when I read this article on Frieda I remembered Sush. I hope it turns out better for Frieda and not like Sush.....success is not 100%...

'Successful' Freida dumps boyfriend, calls off engagement

Freida Pinto, who shot to fame with the success of her film "Slumdog Millionaire", has dumped her boyfriend of four years.

According to reports 24-year-old Rohan is upset and is convinced she will come back. The two met at St. Xavier's University in Mumbai and soon came very close.

A friend said: "They were really into each other. Rohan would do anything for Freida. They were best pals as well as lovers. While together he helped her develop her website, did publicity and marketing for her and even fixed her dresses before the fashion shoots."

"Freida called off the engagement after the film took off. She could never have imagined how rapidly her career would grow and it's all been overwhelming.

Since the release of the film, she's hardly been in Mumbai and even when she is, she's too busy working. Whether it's permanent or temporary she's not sure, but for now they are not together. But Rohan took it very badly.

He is cut up about it now and hoping they will get back together. He has still not changed his relationship status on Facebook - it still says he is engaged. But no one else believes she will come back now. She is off pursuing her dreams."

There are rumours that the 24-year-old Pinto and her 18-year-old co-star Dev Patel are more than friends. Patel had earlier said: "She is very beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. Everyone's agreed on that. But there's no romance, no."

I feel bad for Freida's ex. I hope she doesn't let her success go to her head. After all, she only made one movie.

As far as her and Dev Patel, I'm pretty sure that they are friends. There is a significant age gap, and it seems unlikely that they'd hook up in real life...at least for now.

Even if it had changed friedo, it happens often when you get fame. Saif did it, aamir did(they were married and frieda was just dating rohan). It happened to vivek, he got dumped. I think it shouldn't be a huge deal, even if it's true.

On second thoughts I guess it is not a big deal.

When you are struggling you hang to the light ray of hope. Maybe that what was her boyfriend.

But then when you have the possiblity of getting something better then WHY NOT?

She is there to graze new pastures. She has achieved the success. She do not have to hang on to the person who will be like liability to her at this point of her career.

If two people cannot co-exist in one world then it is better to part.

Many people just do it for fame and money like Vivek Oberoi who promptly dumped his fiance Gurpreet to be with Rani and then hopped to Asihwarya. I find that cheaper.

I am with Freida here. Looking at the guy and his background I don't know if it is possible for him to even take her success and adulation she is getting without being envious. She is young and starting her career. If she thinks this is better for her then she has every right to choose it that way. It is part of parcel of entertainment industry.
