Deepika had the freedom to choose her career: Prakash Padukone Indore, Feb 11 The decision of DeepikaPadukoneto pursue an acting career was entirely her own and her father PrakashPadukonehas no regrets that she did not take to badminton, a sport in which he brought glory to the nation. "I gave her (Deepika) all the freedom to choose a career of her choice,"Padukone told reporters here when asked whether he wanted his daughter to become a badminton player."I am happy that her passion has now turned into a good career,"he said.Padukone, who was here to cheer up participants of the NationalBadmintonChampionship, said his parents had supported him and his brother in choosing their respective careers of becoming a badminton player and an engineer."Similarly, I also encouraged my daughters to choose a career of their choices.
