It looks like Aamir Khan fans will get another Christmas present from the actor after Taare Zameen Par and Ghajini when his next film 3 Idiots releases on Christmas day. The movie not only stars Aamir but also Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, R. Madhavan and Boman Irani.
Currently in its second shooting schedule, the film produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra is now 80% complete and on target for a Christmas day release.
With a screenplay written by Raju Hirani, the film is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel Five Point Someone. The story follows 3 guys and their life at an Indian Institute of Technology, where they are not the smartest or the best and the pressure they are under not only from school but from family and society as well.
Chopra said about the film and the release date, "3 Idiots is a happy film. Christmas is the perfect time to release such a life affirming work. It would add to the spirit of happiness and good cheer of Christmas."
