On one hand is the Sajid Khan-Ashutosh Gowrikar spat, which has set Bollywood talking.
Akshay Kumar's refusal to accept the Most Popular Actor award saying Aamir Khan deserved it for "Ghajini", has also been much talked and written about.
Akki had left the statuette on the podium and walked off the stage, and out of the venue soon after.
Hailed initially as a gesture of Akshay's magnanimity and humility, the story has now taken a filmi twist.
It's been reported that Akshay was apparently angry at being given the Most Popular Actor award and not the one for Best Actor, which was won by Hrithik Roshan for "Jodhaa Akbar".
It seems Akki was to perform at the awards night and when that didn't work out due to differences over his fee, he was promised the Best Actor award (for "Singh is Kinng") in return for his attendance.
Akshay had agreed and even sent his speech in advance, which in a way explains why it was already there on the teleprompter when he went on the stage to collect his award.
But when Hrithik turned up at the event, after he wasn't supposed to, the organisers could not give the Best Actor award to Akshay as Hrithik so obviously deserved it. Akki was instead handed the Most Popular Actor award, much to his anger.
However, instead of creating a fuss, he did go up to receive the award, but then left it lying on the podium and walked away after saying he wasn't taking it because he felt Aamir Khan deserved it for "Ghajini"!
