Hi friends,
New faces of 2009
Barbara Mori: This sultry American Latino actress makes her big debut in Bollywood with none other than hunk Hrithik Roshan in Anurag Basu's Kites.
The award winning actress plays the sexy mistress to Hrithik… she'll certainly set the stage on fire with her moves and those hot love scenes with Hrithik!
Shruti Hassan: She has the looks of her star parents Kamal Hassan and Sarika. She's already a well- known face in the industry thanks to her musical inclination which has given her the title of rock chick of Bollywood. Shruti makes her big debut alongside good friend Imran Khan in Soham Shah's Luck. With the talent inherited from her star parents and a killer voice, she is quite likely to make it big. If movies fail she always has her music, Shruti sure has things looking up for her.
Aditya Narayan: Son of musician Udit Narayan, Aditya plays host on the popular TV reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He will make his big debut in director Vikram Bhatt's Shapit a trilogy of horror films. This young and over ambitious boy has begun demanding a huge amount for his films. He's independent and is known to have his own bachelor pad even before his debut.
Mona Singh: She's better known as the Indian Ugly Betty on TV with her hit series Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. She is also the winner of the hit dance show Nach Baliye. Mona Singh is certainly a lucky girl as her transformation has landed her a role in the Aamir Khan starrer Three Idiots.
The film is based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller Five Point Someone. Mona is quite the lucky girl to make her debut on the big screen in a meaty role in a film which also stars Aamir Khan.
Zarina Khan: The look-alike of Katrina Kaif brought to you by Salman Khan.
She was kept in hiding for quite some time and will allegedly make her big debut alongside Salman Khan in the adventurous epic film, Veer.
Some say she was originally a body double for Katrina in Subhash Ghai's flick Yuvvraaj.
Lisa Lazarus: Miss UK 2008, who seems to be bedazzled with Bollywood will make her big entry with Salman Khan. This beauty queen who also bears a slight resemblance to Katrina Kaif plays a British girl in Salman Khan's Veer. Looks like a tribute to Katrina?
Aamna Shariff: From TV to the big screen, Aamna Shariff makes her debut on the silver screen with Aftab Shivdasani in Aloo Chat.
The chemistry between the two will be worth a watch as the duo are said to be dating. She has the looks and the acting experience from all the Ekta Kapoor serials she starred in.
She now needs the luck that her former flame Rajeev Khandelwal had with Aamir.
Jackky Bhagnani: Better known as the son of producer Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky is ready to join the industry with his dad's film Kal Kissne Dekha directed by Vivek Sharma. Jackky seems well versed with the industry after assisting his father on various ventures and is aware the road ahead is quite a gamble.
Vaishali Desai: Another known face to join the industry. We've seen her in commercials on TV, a winner of the Indian title - Miss international 2005, and now she's ready to take the next step on screen. Manmohan Desai's granddaughter will star as the main lead opposite Jackky Bhagnani in Kal Kissne Dekha.
Jacqueline Fernandez: The beauty queen from Srilanka, now better known as Jasmine is set to make her debut as Princess Jasmine in Alladin alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh. The once-upon- a- time anchor is jet setting to take on Bollywood.
Naveed Ozman: The 26 year old nephew of Rekha and grandson of south actor Gemini Ganeshan and Telegu actress Pushpavalli also plans to join Bollywood. He is on the look out for the right script and director and would probably make his debut by the end of 2009. With star quality in his bloodline and the amount of effort he has put into learning various forms of arts, he now awaits a good launch pad. BM&C
