Contrary to earlier reports, Neetu Kapoor's comeback vehicle will be Saif Ali Khan's untitled production directed by Imtiaz Ali
That Neetu Kapoor is all set to scorch the screen once again with husband Rishi Kapoor is a known fact. But what remains a closely guarded secret (till now) is that Neetu will be first seen in Imtiaz Ali's untitled film for Saif Ali Khan's production. The film has Saif and Deepika Padukone playing the lead roles. Earlier it was reported that Neetu Kapoor's comeback vehicle would be the feel-good comedy, Do Dooni Char, directed by debutante Habib Faisal. Though the couple is still doing the film, the shooting is yet to begin. Meanwhile, Neetu's film for Imitiaz has already started rolling and will be released first. This will be Neetu's comeback film after a hiatus of more than 25 years. She was last seen in Teesri Aankh in 1982 and retired from films thereafter post her marriage to the eternal lover boy of the silver screen Rishi Kapoor. A source close to the production house said, "Neetu Kapoor is indeed acting in Imtiaz Ali's film for Saif Ali Khan's production. She has a small but significant character in the film." However Neetu Kapoor was not very keen to divulge any details about the film or her role. Imitiaz's film is a love story spread over two decades. One part of the love story will revolve around Rishi and Neetu and the other will have Saif and Deepika. Incidentally, Deepika is dating the couple's son Ranbir Kapoor in real life. |
