Kareena Kapoor tried stopping a flight when she realised that good friend and designer Shabina Khan wasn't on board

Bollywood is known to have nurtured the best of friendships and the worse of animosities. But we recently got to know of an incident that proves that a friend in need is a friend in deed.

And when it comes to proving her loyalty towards her friends trust Kareena Kapoor to come up with the most unique ways. The Golmaal Returns actress can go to any lengths to stand by her friends even if it means stopping a plane which is all ready to take off! Recently, when Kareena was coming back to Mumbai from Dubai she in fact did try this impossible feat and was even partly successful and had it not been for the airport authorities she would have had her way.

The story goes that Kareena and Shabina Khan were busy shopping at Dubai airport when they lost sight of each other. Kareena boarded the flight and was frantic when she realised that Shabina was not on it. She tried to stop the flight but the doors of the plane could not be opened as it is against the rules. Kareena had to fly back alone while Shabina took the next one.

When contacted Shabina Khan confirmed the story and said, "Yes it is true that the incident occurred. I did miss the flight as I got delayed at the check in gates. Kareena did stop the flight but the gates could not be opened as it is not allowed. I had to take the next flight which was three hours later."

When quizzed about why she got delayed, Shabina said matter of factly, "I don't know how I got delayed and I have no clue about what happened. I guess sometimes things are meant to happen and it happened."

I read the article and i don't think its "sweet" or "cute", i think she was acting like a spoilt brat.. Unless Kareena chartered the plane or she owns the airline, she should have had enough sense to realize that there are other passengers in the plane and her little act of "loyalty" could cause serious inconvenience to the rest of them.. her poor little friend got too carried away shopping so she missed her fight.. GOSH! what a tragedy..

I think Kareena being such a loyal friend should make Shabina Khan join some shopoholic addiction rehab program..

The world doesn't revolve around her.. They should have reprimanded her for trying to stop a plane..

heck if I was one of the passenger in the flight and some psycho lady tries to make a scene and tries to stop the plane, i would get up and give her some of that MrsAckles medicine..i would have totally written a formal letter of complaint to the effin airline..

I think she was trying to stop the flight to get off...
