Here is some news that you wouldn't like to hear during the credit crunch era, Akshay Kumar has been paid a whopping Rs 9 crore for giving his voice to the animated elephant in made-for-kids flick Jumbo.
Apparently, Akshay would not budge from that amount and insisted he be paid before he went to the studio to record. The producers wanted a big name hence they reluctantly agreed. Akshay, being the good guy that he is, gave them something as part of that fee – Lara Dutta. He somehow got the leggy lass to provide her services for free.
Now let's hope the production company manage to make the money back at the Boc Office!
