There are some, who aim for the stars and reach the moon, and then there are some who aim for the stars and make sure to reach there... and our Kareena Kapoor belongs to the latter lot.

The lady who lost to Deepika Padukone the chance of working with beau Saif in Imtiaz Ali's film, has made sure to be a part of Saif's next project with Sriram Raghavan. Kareena Kapoor will be seen romancing her Saif in Raghavan's spy thriller Agent Vinod . Saif plays the title role and Kareena, his love interest.

Reportedly, Deepika was the first choice for the female lead in Agent Vinod but it seems Kareena was in no mood to take yet another defeat from the young star. However, director Raghavan explains that he never approached Deepika for the film. But yes he is keen to work with Kareena for the same.

Ever since Agent Vinod was announced, Bebo was keen on bagging the role and made sure that Deepika doesn't get away with her sweety pie this time. Perhaps the lady just wants to be with Saif at all times, at work and otherwise and keep his attention solely on her. We all are aware of Saif's Casanova ways, aren't we?

When asked, S Raghavan confirmed, "I haven't yet signed her but hope to do that soon. I can give more details only by December end." The film will have two leading ladies – an Indian (Kareena) and a foreign actress. The film will go on the floors in March 2009. Apart from this, Saifeena will be seen together in Karan Johar's next.

Saif's Agent Vinod to begin in March 2009

Saif Ali Khan's home production, Agent Vinod had been put on hold for some time as the star actor got busy with his other venture and priority to given to Imtiaz Ali directed production venture. But now the delayed film will go on the floors in March 2009. This spy thriller is being written and directed by Johnny Gaddar fame Sriram Raghavan.

Raghavan states, "I have been busy with the scripting of the film for the last six to seven months. The main lead was finalised long back, that's Saif Ali Khan in the title role along with Deepika Padukone. The process for finalizing the rest cast and crew will begin by December."

Revealing further about his film, Sriram states, "Saif's role in the film is of a secret agent of India's RAW secret agent which will have the thrill element in it. The film will have two leading ladies in one Indian (Deepika) and another, a foreign actress (Yet unfinalised)."

About the talks that Kareena Kapoor too was being roped in for the project Sriram clarifies, "See the film has been scripted keeping two leading ladies in mind but like I said earlier, since Deepika has been finalised for one, the second one is not an Indian actress but a foreigner gal. We do have a few names in mind but we haven't signed any body yet."

A film with the same name had earlier been made by Rajashris (Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Vivaah) in the 70s with Mahendra Sandhu in the lead but Raghavan claims his film has got to do nothing with that one and is a totally new concept. "It will be shot on the lines of James Bond film but not on such a lavish scale. Our budget is much lesser compared to a James Bond film" he laughs and adds. -(SAMPURN)

I think its stupid if kareena like she did with shahid keeps signing films with saif than on the actual story..shes going to ruin all that shes gained from JWM

why doesnot he take kareena for da indian n katrina for the foreigner...im sure katrina will rock in da foreigner's role as she is one herself plus she would ve to speak only english so she wont ve many problems acting n plus kareena n katrina together..jst imagine how big a hit it would be..2 top most heroines together..i think he shuld really go for it as kat n bebo r also friends now..

I tired of seeing saif-kareena. I don't think I would watch their film, because i see too muh of them on TV!

While Kareena is more experienced and clearly the better actress, I think it depends on who suits the role.

I feel that the first article is true coz she's pretyt much finalized for Agent Vinod. Saif had confirmed it in many interviews nad even Kareena. I guess before the saif and kareena hook up, it must've been Deepika, but since Deepz is already wth saif in imtiaz's next, Sriram felt a change would be nice.

I also want saif and kareena to refrain from signing too many movies together. But so far its been tashan (which wasnt their movie), Rensil's upcoming, and this one.
