She was raised in Britain, so there's no reason for her NOT to speak english properly. But I think our celebs do a pretty decent job considering its not their first language.
This coming from Ms. Koizikakapoor and many others who have ironically made posts on this thread that are riddled with grammatical mistakes, spelling mistakes and sentence run-ons. Ironic, isn't it? 🤢
This thread reeks of pot meet kettle.😆Here are some points I'd like to put across:1) Indian actresses do not have to communicate in English. They work in India where bollywood movies are mainly in Hindi, therefore English is not a necessity. These bollywood people only communicate in English so that they are not labelled "verni" or "dehati" or "downmarket". Anyone remember the humiliation Mamta kulkarni and madhuri Dixit faced in the 90s for not being able to speak in english properly? Fastforward to present, does anyone truly think less of Mads as an actress just because she had a really bad way of speaking English back then?2) Indians always have the tendency of licking the white man's arse! Its been a long time since colonization ended, so this tendency of worshipping everything white needs to go already.3) Accent rarely matters. Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek, Javier Bardem and Gael Garcia Bernal, Marion Cottilad (if you guys do not know these people......google is your friend).....ALL HAVE ACCENTS. Yet, they've been appreciated by mainstream hollywood critics and nominated for reputed film festival awards and the oscars. Conclusion: The main job of an actor is to act. CONVINCINGLY. It does not matter what language they speak, how they speak....as long as they convince the audience of their acting, they are to be considered good actors.
