By now you must have heard and read a thousands news stories about the so-called Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan war. But here are RS we bring you the real reason behind the war of words and it's a girl as always.
Apparently, Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif is now the numero uno actress of Bollywood with filmmakers queuing up left right and centre to sign her up. And at the top of the list is the biggest production house in India Yash Raj Films. Head man Yash Chopra is already working with Katrina for a future film that he is producing but now he wants the number one actress in Bollywood and the number one actor in Bollywood to star together in a film that he will direct himself. Which means Katrina Kaif opposite Shah Rukh Khan in a romantic drama on the scales of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
Shah Rukh never turns down an offer from Yash Raj Films and is ready to work for it once he completes Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi for Aditya Chopra and My Name Is Khan for Karan Johar. Katrina has also said yes as she is being given a dream opportunity. However, Katrina's boyfriend Salman is not happy with his girlfriend opposite King Khan in a major Bollywood flick.
At first he has tried to reason with Katrina to not sign up for the film, but she isn't listening to him. He then politely asked Shah Rukh Khan to turn down the film, to which Shah Rukh also said no. This got Salman angry and the whole birthday party, which is where the fight took place, then became a stage for insults and anger release. Salman made sure that Shah Rukh was invited to the event his plan was for Shah Rukh to get angry with him and then refuse to star opposite Katrina out of spite. However, this backfired and the whole situation is now out of control.
Once Shah Rukh noticed that Salman had bigger things planned for him at the party, he too started to insult him by making jokes about Salman and his past girlfriends most notably Aishwariya Rai. Barrages of insults then were exchanged before Shah Rukh's wife Gauri Khan made her husband leave the party.
Few minutes later, fellow actor Aamir Khan intervened and tried to get the actors to make up. He took Salman to Shah Rukh's residence Mannat where he played mediator. Salman said he wanted Shah Rukh to get Katrina thrown out of the Yash Raj project and keep it low key so that Kat doesn't find out it was he who was behind it. Shah Rukh refused to do this and Aamir's efforts were all in vain.
Salman then returned to the party and played his trump card asking Katrina to marry him. He was hoping that once she said yes, then he would get her to retire from Bollywood and there would be no film opposite Shah Rukh. But Katrina knew this was coming and refused to give an answer there and then.
Now friend to both actors, Sanjay Dutt is wanting to reconcile the two actors and is willing to leave his shooting in Cape Town. Speaking from Cape Town, Dutt says, "I still can't believe what's happened. I am shocked! I am so glad I am out of all this. It would have been painful for me to have seen something that involved two of my dearest friends. I am very close to both and it would be impossible for me to take sides. Both Shah Rukh and Salman are like my younger brothers. I love them dearly and it wouldn't be fair of me to side with one of them. I have never been associated with any camp. I don't intend being part of one today. I am sure everyone has his/her own perspective; but what happened was very unfortunate. I am sure things could have been amicably solved. I will definitely try and do something when I am back."
Sanjay says that it was rude of Salman to invite Shah Rukh on the intention of insulting him. Says a source, "Sanju and his wife Mana felt that it was rude of Salman to invite Shah Rukh and then insult him. You can't insult your own guest no matter what issues you have with him. If you have problems with someone, don't invite him to your party."
