Bigg Boss 6: Sidhu recalls funny sides of Kapil and Sachin
Navjot Singh Sidhu More Pics
Former cricketer turned comedy circus judge, Navjot Singh Sidhu, has recalled some hilarious and interesting trivial about cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev from his own batting days during his current stint as a housemate in the realty TV show, Bigg Boss 6.

While in conversation with other housemates atBigg Boss this week, Sidhu shared the lost trivia of a young debutant Sachin Tendulkar actuallySleepwalking during their tour to Pakistan in 1989. "It was Sachin's first test match in Pakistan. One night I was surprised to see a dazed looking Tendulkar walking out of his hotel room and mumbling in Marathi ''maajha bat, maajha bat (my bat, my bat)''. That's when we realised that he was actually sleepwalking,'' Sidhu reminisced at the Bigg Boss show.

Sidhu also praised Tendulkar for fearlessly facing the scorching deliveries of Waqar Younis, even after a bouncer had hit Sachin hard, causing his nose to bleed profusely. Despite being injured, Sachin refused to budge from the wicket and determinedly said, "Main khelega (I will play)'', which earned him a lot of respect among his Indian team mates and also in the Pakistan camp.

However, the sleepwalking incident about Sachin had only once hit the newspaper headlines in 1989 -- after which there were no more stories about the master blaster's somnambulism. Now, after 23 years, Sidhu revived those days in whites.

The turbaned Sikh known for his smart one-liners or 'Sidhuisms', also recalled the time when India was playing test series against West Indies in 1983. "Kapil paaji (Dev) had taken a record nine wickets and all the international mediapersons wanted to interview him. I cautioned Kapil not to face the Press, as his English was not very good in those days. Instead, I suggested that we should go and watch actress Meenakshi Seshadiri in the hit film Hero. However, Kapil decided to let the international media interview him,'' said Sidhu.

When repeatedly asked why a Big Country like India could not produce another fast bowler like him, Kapil famously quipped that 'his mother was very old, and his father was no longer alive -- hence there cannot be another Kapil Dev'!

This trivia about Kapil 'paaji' had the Bigg Boss inmates in splits this week.

Bigg Boss TRPs are due to Salman Khan: Ashmit Patel

Actor-turned-TV host Ashmit Patel, creditsSalman Khan and not the contestants on the show for the popularity of Bigg Boss Season 6

He may be hosting a television show where he plays a love guru, but when asked about his own love life, Ashmit Patel says it is "not at all happening at the moment. It's not that

I am not dating girls, of course I am, but nothing serious as such. I am just not getting the right girl. Maybe it is not the right time," smiles Ashmit, who was in Lucknow recently.

Ashmit, who was last seen on silver screen some three years back, says he is all set to make a comeback on the bada parda, but not as an actor. "I will return to films but as a producer and a writer. I have just acquired the rights to convert an autobiography of a very famous cricketer into a film. Although I can't reveal more on this, it is going to be an interesting move in my career graph," he claims.

A former participant on the TV show Bigg Boss, Ashmit says he is not at all interested in what's happening on the show now. "Bigg Boss is not about contestants anymore. The TRPs are just there on Friday when Salman bhai comes. It is boring on week days," he rues.

And one thing that still irks Ashmit post his Bigg Boss stint is the way his illness was blown out of proportion on the show. "I am a thalassemia patient but the show blew the issue out of proportion. I am a healthy human being yaar. I can sing, dance and gym like normal people. It is so strange that everywhere I go people show sympathy towards me and ask me if I am ok. Hello... it is just thalassemia!" he laughs.

Bigg Boss 6, Day 10: I am losing my self respect, says Rajeev Paul

New Delhi: Despite Delnaaz Irani repeatedly telling him, Rajeev Paul continues to be overfriendly with her. While Aashka Goradia was busy shouting over Niketan Madhok hiding a coffee jar, Rajeev tried to hold Delnaaz's hand. She shouted at him and made it clear that she does not like it. When Sayantani Ghosh and Aashka told Rajeev that Delnaaz is missing Aseem, he got furious.

It seems, he does not like Delnaaz's closeness with cartoonist Aseem Trivedi. He later told Aashka, "I also have a limit of tolerance. I feel I am losing my self respect and dignity now." She suggested him to stay away from Delnaaz. Rajeev and Delnaaz legally separated just two months back.

The highlight of yesterday's episode was the coffee fight. Aashka and Urvashi Dholakia accused Sapna Bhavnani and Niketan Madhok of hiding a coffee jar so that others can't have coffee. While Aashka and Urvashi were shouting at the top of their voice, Niketan simply walked away from there. Soon after Aashka started crying. Niketan refused to speak to Aashka and told Karishma Kotak that she cries entire day so what's the big deal about it.

IBNLive

Interestingly, when Aashka asked Karishma that did your 'friend' Niketan told you about coffee, she replied, "No and he is not my friend. I just met him here." Really Karishma? As 'Bigg Boss 5' contestant Pooja Bedi claims, Karisma and Niketan were in a relationship.

It seems, Urvashi Dholakia will soon be in the hit list of many housemates. Yesterday, she was upset with Niketan over many issues. She also said that she knows he nominated her. Even her close friend Aashka was seen criticising her for continuously targeting him. The way she projected the entire coffee episode in front of others, her 'Kamolika' traits became very evident.

This week Kashif Qureshi and Rajeev Paul have been nominated for eviction. Kashif has gone into a silent zone after creating enough drama last week. Do you think he should be evicted this week?

Bigg Boss 6 :Rajev – Urvashi's big fight !

Every day one or the other fight is seen in Bigg Boss house , but now its going a tad too far. A big fight takes place between Urvashi and Rajev, where they both loose their temperament and abuse each other openly .

Let's now tell you what exactly happened in the controversial house , it so happened that Rajev was made incharge of kitchen and had to make food for all the inmates .Rajev was given a choice by Bigg Boss to have two people to support him.

He picked up Niketan and Aseem for the same. They planned to make khichdi as none of them knew how to make food properly. But Urvashi objected having Khichdi as she was keen to have roti . Somehow this issue gots resolved and she later agreed for khichdi.

But that's not where it ends, by the time Rajev and his team prepared khichidi , Urvashi asked him to make eggs for her and Rajeev oblidges the same .She and Sayanti shared eggs and Urvashi asked why she should be sharing eggs with Sayantani . Rajev now boiled and in frustration said ,"You have to accept whatever kitchen team gives" and this intern hypes the situation , Urvashi reverts that she had also worked in kitchen and made food for everyone , but didn't complain even once .

Both they went on, Urvashi finally moved in the room and started to gossip about Rajev. They happened to talk about why Rajev was not entering in her room, because Delnaaz was there and the big fight began, Rajeev shouted , not to get personal with him.

With all the drama in the house , will Salman be able to live the tag of 'Parivaarik' show ?

The report said, "The name Laila has already created headlines. Since the starlet shares the dead Pakistani actress' name, the Bigg Boss folk decided to rope her in to create a buzz on the show. Laila has been slotted for a wild card entry soon."

Don't expect entertainment from me: Cartoonist Aseem Trivedi

What should one expect from Aseem Trivedi on the reality show "Bigg Boss 6"? "Not entertainment for sure," says the controversial activist and cartoonist, who hopes to use the platform to spread his message on anti-corruption.

aseem trivedi

What should one expect from Aseem Trivedi on the reality show "Bigg Boss 6"? "Not entertainment for sure," says the controversial activist and cartoonist, who hopes to use the platform to spread his message on anti-corruption.

"I am not an entertainer. I am not going to the show for providing any entertainment," Trivedi, who was jailed on charges of sedition in Mumbai last month and is out on bail, told IANS in a telephonic interview before he stepped into the "Bigg Boss" house last Saturday.

"I believe viewers want to watch things other than entertainment on TV. Aamir Khan's show 'Satyamev Jayate' was a serious show, it wasn't to entertain. But people watched it. A huge chunk of people want to watch serious issues too," he added.

The 25-year-old, an activist associated with India Against Corruption (IAC) and founder of anti-corruption campaign Cartoons Against Corruption, says he hardly gets time to watch TV shows and Bollywood movies. But he was tempted to be a part of "Bigg Boss 6" solely to "talk to the masses".

"I believe a lot of people watch this show and I wanted one chance to talk to the masses, to the people of India. I want to use the medium to drive the message of anti-corruption to every home," said the activist, who sports messy long locks and a bearded look.

He was locked up in jail for three days last month on charges of sedition for drawing cartoons insulting Indian emblems and the constitution during Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement in Mumbai in December 2011. The charges haven't been dropped yet, and Trivedi will be locked inside the "Bigg Boss 6" house with 14 strangers for 98 days, followed by 70 cameras.

Strange, isn't it?

"It is a normal thing for me. I am an activist, I am always on the move, and meeting strangers is a way of life for me. I am getting this platform on national television and I will continue my activism there.

"People have tried to stop me from making cartoons highlighting corruption, but they will not succeed. I am sure even the sedition charges against me will be dropped soon," said Trivedi, who hails from Kanpur.

He will miss his family for sure, but making new cartoons is what he would miss most.

"I won't have a pen or paper inside, neither will I have books or Facebook, through which I conduct a lot of my activism. But on the brighter side, I have such a huge medium, the show and the television, to keep my activism to get support against corruption on," he said.

And he plans to raise his voice even if there are any unscrupulous activities in the "Bigg Boss 6" house, which he feels is a perfect example of how politicians should be treated - with cameras tapping their actions and mics recording their voice 24X7.

Kashif Qureshi, the only common man among a host of celebrities in "Bigg Boss 6" house, was eliminated out of the reality show Friday night, following an eventful two-week stay.

A martial arts expert, Kashif came into the spotlight on the show thanks to his fights and arguments with celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani, modelNiketan Madhok and actress Urvashi Dholakia among others.

He had an ugly fight with Sapna, which led to a warning for him by Bigg Boss as well as the show's host, Bollywood star Salman Khan.

While Kashif didn't gel well with some people, he made friends like controversial cartoonistAseem Trivedi, Gulaab Gang leader Sampat Pal and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who he respected and considered as a knowledgeable man.

Kashif was chosen among three common men, but his journey ended soon.
