LIKES VS SMS VOTING ?

AS OF TODAY BIG BOSS 5 OFFICIAL SITE CITES FOLLOWING NUMBERS FOR THE CONTESTANTS "LIKES".IT IS NOT SMS FIGURES.BUT WHY PEOPLE'S LIKING ON FACEBOOK

last year ST had the highest likes and ended up winning it!

Ofcourse there can never be TRIUE correlation between LIKES and SMS Votes.

There are many voters who do not even visit BB or facebook pages. They just watch TV and then SMS. And then there are many people who spend most of the time liking facebook n BB pages but never really VOTE. And when it comes to LIKES, there are no geographical restrictions and anyone can hit LIKE from anywhere in the world. But for SMS, you got to be in INDIA (As far as I know) using vodafone.

On facebook pages, probably you can hit LIKE once from a single id, where as you can send multiple SMS from a single mobile phone. And then there are PRs for most contestants who even pay voters in some cases, to keep SMSing all the time to save the housemate.

I dont think popularity on a BB Site or Facebook accurately shows popularity of a contestants worldwide (or wherever viewers are located)

I think popularity in Likes and SMS voting is a reasonably good measure.

I think SMS & LIKES r different coz likes are by ppl all over the world while SMS is allowed only for ppl in India,this is my guess I might be wrong.

people in india and people out of india r watching the same BB episodes everyday.Liking couldn't be different .iF VOTES R NOT GETTING COUNTED THEN IT IS A DIFFERENT STORY.

Just feels weird that people will bribe to get votes - why not just vote on your own 100 times. SMS might cost less than paying someone unless there is another ulterior motive of getting more new names which I am missing.

I think Bigg boss can revive careers for those who are out of work for long (Example vindu singh). Its a big reality show and guarantees work in entertainment industry once the show is over. The winner gets big amount and then all other work opportunities in other TV shows and commercials can add up to a lot. People can become famous overnight.

So investing money in bribing voters may not be a bad idea as such. And then you bribe only when you are on nomination which wont be every week. I mentioned about it coz in one of the seasons ( i dont remember it well) a housemates accused another housemate of bribing money to people for voting for him 😊
