Why did no one tell Sky...

Mahek wasn't the one who started talking about Sky. Yes, the name came up but Shonali and Laxmi brought up the whole issue. Mahek only got stuck in this while discussing it to Pooja Bedi.

But Why didn't anyone go upto Sky and tell him that Mahek never started the issue and she was trying to clear out stuff with Pooja Bedi when PB goes ahead and mentions Sky's name knowing that he is standing right behind Mahek. Sky instantly thought Mahek was talking about him and thus the whole issue began.

Even though everyone stood up for Mahek noone had the guts to go to Sky and tell him that she didn't start the issue. PB was with Sky but did not bring this up.

PB is the #1 person who could've cleared out the issue but did not speak up

That's what I was thinking.. I didn't hear Mahek saying anything about sky. I thought they were discussing about Captain's election Whereas Laxmi and Shonali were talking about negative vibe and all. This entire scene should be shown , w/o editing ,on "Aap ka farmaan" by SD.
