I think if Armaan is guilty he should be punished...
But like you said, the police showed so much zeal and enthusiasm to arrest Armaan (some good public relations for the police team) when this guy was not going anywhere and the whole thing was as good as house arrest.

But what really irritates me is when non-celebrity women complain about domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse why doesn't the police show the same zeal and enthusiasm to make arrests.

A few months ago, our housekeeper was being stalked by a guy on her way to work. This guy tried to grope her and while protecting herself, she fell down and hurt herself. When my mom accompanied the housekeeper to the police station to make a complain, the police advised our housekeeper to change her timings and told her that if she sees the guy next time then she should call the cops. They refused to make a complain! Yeah, because the cops don't care about common everyday folks... I never realized that even cops like some good publicity...

This is not the only case, there have been instances where the police have refused to record domestic violence cases and have suggested that the wife talk to the husband when he has cooled down. In another instance a family court judge ordered the couple to eat biryani and sort their issues.

I would be proud of the police, if they show the same amount of enthusiasm when the case is of non-celebrities.

IMHO, the entire thing will only generate publicity for BB, Sofiya and in a twisted way even Armaan because that's the kind of the world we live in, where public memory is short-lived and any publicity is good publicity.

Oh aren't you assuming too much about Indian police and judicial.
Out on bail does not mean the charges are dropped. Wonder why kohl I family was not able to get anticipatory bail😆 Then he could have not left the BB house itself

Sofia did a very good job by lodging an FIr.

Now what an absolutely brilliant and touching post that is.👏

See the sad reality is indian police is by and large an ill trained, ill equipped, ill paid and demotivated lot. To supplement your post just think of a few very high profile cases.

Nithari killings of NOIDA, where a landlord wanted kids for his sexual perversions. , and his domestic help turned a devil who started killing and eating these unfortunate kids. ...mostly from neighboring slums. Dozens of children met this gory end and each time slum dwellers approached police to register a case about their missing children, they were kicked away.

Arushi Talwar murder case, cops promptly declared Hemraj, the domestic help as the absconding killer and sent messages to Nepal police, until...an ex army neighbor spotted blood stains on stairs, followed trail to roof and discovered poor Hemraj, lying there dead...two full days after cops had declared it an open and shut case and were waiting for Hemraj's arrest.

You thought Cops learnt their lesson? Banish the thought...their next step was to arrest Hemraj's friends, torture them for 7 months...and then discover each of them had fool proof alibi and they got nothing. ...money flows in such cases and finally, CBI knocked open the door of comminsense and asked the most basic question,"how is it possible for two murders to take place in adjacent room and both parents can keep sleeping through the night? "

Above cases have nothing to do with Armaan-Sofiya tussle...merely an affirmation that indeed its tough for poor ones in India to even get a case registered, even when their kids go missing. ...forget lesser crimes...😕

Honestly, in this particular case, neither do I support Armaan, nor do I support Sofia. If this makes me less of a feminist, so be it!

Its not a question of supporting or not supporting any one...I am myself saying had Bigg Boss issued a warning over abusing anyone and expelled Armaan as soon as he abused any one the second time, it would have been perfectly justified. ...

Issue is sheer absurdity of whole thing.

I watched Newshour tonight and after that switched to comedy newschannels that cover Bigg Boss and Saas Bahoo serials related news items...and what do I get to see? Our Sofiya babe declaring ,"main us din darr gayi thhi, main abhi bhi dari hui hoon, I am in a state of complete shockkk!"

Somehow, when I recall how she was feeding Armaan cake with her own hands, its tough to bite this bullet of dari hui, still shocked Sofiya ji...😛

Well i agree to a certain extent only.. I am somehow happy that he is out of house but the approach seems funny ..like a circus.. Why bb team could not apologize sofia outside and took action regarding Armaan eviction immediately after news spread of forthcoming criminal case getting filed by her ? We all kinda knew that she is thinking abt it..😕

Better there should have been an action by BB on the very same day of incidence happening ..sincere warning Or eviction..or strict dealing from the host...that would have been a kinda fair justice towards Sofia considering its a house arrest show and it would have been solved without looking like fools now...Armaan always had showed that abusive and degrading instinct against almost everyone. Koi mara nahin ye alag baat hai... Alas! No strict actions ever taken and of course Sofia had to do this one on one outside...All are loosing face here, sofia, armaan and BB. But gaining publicity as well..and it will be forgotten soon..

even we did not see what exactly happened with broom stick..as much as i remember, it was more of a verbal fight and rather armaan was angry with Tanisha..🤪 He went into another trajectory and tani baby started bad mouthing others in her usual highness attitude..🥱 . Host and bb team did not support sofia and that has really infuriated her.. Itna time beetne ke baad to matter mein jaan bhi nahin lag raha.. And its actually sad..bewajah wasting people energy in wrong things instead of handling real cases..

Sorry cruiserji, Didn't xpect such a post from you.
Wat kind of proportion are u talking abt? U mean tht one should protest only if one is threatened and abused beyond the so called "proportion"? And who decides this BTW?

physical violance is not allowed in BB house. Period. Whether it has happened before or whether Sofia provoked him or not is irrelevant. The fact is, armaan came onto Sofia's face and hit her with a broom. She believes its no accident. I too wanna give her th benefit of doubt as it was not telecaster by BB, which was very fishy.

But whatever it is, she came to BB to play a game. As a contestant, she specter safety and protection from BB. But Wat did she get? Humiliated and thrown out instead for not being submissive like tht doormat tanisha. It's a breach of contract.
