# 1 hmmm...so outside for you guys means Pakistan. lol. Lets put aside pakistan, you are still allowed to work in 200 countries right? so use pakistan instead of outsiders# 2 I dont think ordinary pakistanis can work in india either so we are only talking about entertainment industry# 3 there indians have been more positive than pakistan and i give you that. However since many years indian movies are now being allowed in pakistan. i believe singers has sung songs as well. naseerudin shah has worked in move as well. However pakistan industry is a disaster and i dont think any entertainment stars from india would work there anyway# 4 sophiya is not pakistani but british. she has origins from there. This is 2013 so lets come out of this abhijeet type mindset. relations have never been good so seeing things from that emotional point of view is useless. At least there are some contacts from people to people so lets not ruin that with your negative mindset. lol

I disagree a little silverbug. There was never really an established urdu cinema industry in Pakistan to begin with. Mostly it is movies in punjabi and pushto languages. So Indian movies which are in urdu/hindi were always there. I don't see any opportunity for Indians there as even salaries will not match.
Pakistan entertainment is known for urdu tv dramas and there it is doing fine specially after opening of so many channels. We have dramas fro India and Turkey also. However those who inspire the bigger picture do go to bollywood. Even there you can count them on hand. Anyway.

#1. My objections are mainly to foreigners from Pakistan coming to India. Someone like Elli is more than welcome to India, in my opinion she was the brightest light in the BB house (but that is another story).Fine. It is your take. does not affect me much. lol#2. The entertainment industry has some of the highest paying jobs and the most exposure.okay.#3. Frankly, I am not sure an Indian's life is even safe if he goes to Pakistan. I mean for someone who isn't a celebrity and how shall I put it, for someone who people can tell is an Indian, do you disagree?Yes I disagree. I don't think it is like that at all. However there are some places where there could be a problem but then again even Pakistanis have problem as its all together a different issue.Last time Indian team was in Pakistan many came from India and the had a great stay. You need to stop watching your news channels a little. lol#4. Yeah, I know Sofiya is British, but I believe she has Pakistani roots. So? Should I stop calling Americans of Indian origin Americans?Abhijeet had very valid points, especially if the imported labour didn't even follow proper visa procedures.Oh so it was visa that bothered him. lol. Even an idiot could tell from his face that he was insecure.

Well I'm only basing it off what I saw on some Pakistani talk shows where they were discussing how the indian cinema/tv industry has had negative influence on the Pakistani industry. I think one of the director's name was Said Noor.Well before the movies were in cinema and on tv the industry was still doing something. So he was hoping for those glory days. lol. However I am saying even that was terrible. What has happened is that now urdu and even local languages industry is not doing great and hence the complaint. However the way to address this is to improve yourself and not get indian movies banned. There have been one or two movies worth watching. Overall it is still terrible.I think Pakistani dramas are good. Infact, I will even go ahead and say that many of the ones I have seen are easily more thought provoking than the saas-bahu indian ones but the thing is that the average public can't really connect to it nor do they have the intellect to appreciate it (and I don't mean this in a negative way, it is a fact that majority of subcontinent is illiterate and doesn't have exposure). On the contrary, indian dramas/movies are often made for masses in hindi belt and made for the sole intention of profit. Only once or twice in a year will you see an indian movie/drama with an original theme that isn't centered around love or family. Why else do you think Salman movies are such a hit when he is such a crap actor ? It's just cheap thrill and entertainment which the masses connect to . How many people will connect to a movie like "Khuda k liye" or "Bol' ? Only people like you and me. I think this has been the reason why the indian movie industry is so successful in subcontinent and other poorer countries but the western audience doesn't quite appreciate it as much. There have been few good movies but still if you see the work its very crude. It has been terrible. Dances are over the top, dress sense is over the top, singers very regional so does not appeal to all Pakistanis.Indian industry goes back a lot and sure there is masala movies but then there are serious movies as well. It is basically hollywood for desi population.Hollywood is better than both but I do not connect to it myself.Pakistanis dramas are better compared to their movies because more educated, cultured, intelligent people invested their effort there. We have wonderful writes, actors etc. TV is seen most there, TV is i national language i.e. Urdu so it has the widest audience and therefore quality work happened there.Anyway, whether it is good for bad, it is what it is. Globalization is here to stay. Likes of Abhijit, Said Noor can complain as much as they want. Yeh toh hona hee tha. It can't be one sided invasion.
