Kudos to Sophia for standing up and taking action against Armaan -- I wished more women were like that. However I know that most will NOT even know that they got assaulted.
For many women unless they are beaten blue and black to a pulp they wouldn't know that and simply buckle and roll over and move on as if nothing happened. However Sophia has filed a case against Armaan for assault, if she has a good lawyer she can also pursue this to be a assault with a weapon, battery or even aggravated assault.
Unfortunately considering that this is INDIA and the law hardly matters as one with deeper pockets and more connections always wins in the end it would be interesting to see how far this case goes or even if any judge would even hear her out but regardless hats off to her for going forward with this.
Anything against your will should never happen. Be advised that even the slightest touch of the mop stick IS an assault and you should always stand up for yourself and make it known. Please do not put up with abusers because you are enabling them by keeping quiet.
Women of India Forums, please do not become a door mat and pay back with interest to the aggressor in your life.
