Please use logic and be a bit unbiased for this.
Though I am not at all Armaan's supporter (esp. after sofia's case, even if it was an accident) but here I want to say that he did not lied when told his age being 39.
Some people start looking older then their age, and in Armaan's case he was been into hard drugs for a long time post 2004 and after years' he had been withdrawn, but he still is a chain smoker and these things put a heavy tax on health and looks. (else everyone saw how strkikigly handsome he was in his 20's and early 30's).
Anyways, now come towards the topic. Please do watch Armaan in this movie after 0:15:20 time slot. This film was made in 1982 (see the censor certificate) and hence is a 31 year old film.
Do watch Armaan in this movie he played a childstar and his age was NOT MORE then 7 or maximum 8 years (except the mature voice that they used to dub of females and older people on kids in old movies) and his mini stature and small physique clearly shows he was not more then 8 here.
So lets do basic maths. 31 + 8 = 39
Hence he was speaking truth when said that he is 39 years of age, and will be about 40.
