I am from Britain and I would be really insulted if Salman said such things about us but what exactly did he say?

How many "white" viewers do you expct to watch a show which is primarily based in Hindi language? 1%? Maybe less. There's hardly anyone who will take offence, let alone protest.
P.S. are you American by any chance?

That really doesn't matter. If Salman said anything like that then he really shouldn't have. But I don't know what exactly he said? 😕

Yes -- half American but I have spent majority of my life in Canada, UK, Hong Kong etc and spent portion of a childhood in India. I get it that Im going against the grain here but Im simply taking offence to things that I do not believe were right; people who have taken over other nationalities should affirm and commit their loyalty to countries they have settled in.

It is certainly not right for a superstar to issue such outrageous statement that he what he implied that he is pleased that the gori was there dancing, and her fore fathers should take lesson instead they came here for business but duped, crooked, and conned their way out of India -- that is very wrong thing to say.

Representatives of Mr Khan, or himself is more then welcome to PM me, I invite them to have a cup of tea on my own dime so that I can clear up his misinformation regarding his historical inaccuracies and ill information regarding British rule so that he is better informed instead of hear-say. 👍🏼

And Jamaica, Guyana, Fiji and bunch of other nations have prospered quite well, lack of corruption, a good working system I can go on on and on but lets not get worked up over that. I agree you detest them and rightly so and you are welcome to form an opinion to think they were the bad ones and root of all evil for our nation but as far as Im concerned, I do not see much progress and development since they have left -- certainly our Incredible India is not as what Mahatma Gandhi had envisioned and you can thank our local leaders for that -- not the Britishers.

You know I would like talk to you about this somewhere else if we have free time on this matter ...so called developed countries fraud and corruption happens in high style and by people wearing suits ...The whole world's economy is crumbling and you can thank those so called nations for that . They built nations stealing their money and resources . So called oil wars happen because of those advanced nations . I can go on and on . Our country was changed when they stole whatever they could and left it open to all kind of chaos . They did all the mess and left the country to fight with each other and ruin our self . I agree lot of has to change and leaders have to change but mostly people like you and me should change too .

But I don't want to bring an off topic to BB forum just because Salman made a joke about something which is not a big deal .😆
I am not debating with you on this topic but if you like you can message me I will be more than happy to answer you .

I think his comment was crass and don't think present generation of Ukers have anything to do with India's colonization.

But I do not agree that British colonization was a boon for India. The negatives clearly outweigh the positives. Yes they gave us technology but India also went from being the 2nd richest country in the world to a third world hell hole. This is pretty much how most Neo Nazis on stormfront justify colonization as well by saying that it was white man's burden and a project of cultural, economic reforms rather than genocide and exploitation and appropriation of labor, resources, and peoples. The worst thing they probably did was leave behind brown sahib's with colonized minds which is why India will never really become a superpower because Indians lack self confidence. What other people on earth take more pride in speaking a foreign language over their own and even degrade their people for doing so.

And just for the record, the British are responsible for the deaths of almost 1 million people and the displacement of 10-15 million people during Partition alone. If you go before that, they literally genocided 30 million in Bengal and Bihar alone through engineered famines and god knows how many were killed in all those major wars (1857, Punjab, Marhattas, Mysore etc). I know some people will turn this around and blame the partition on Indians for being narrow minded but the truth is the average Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims (I'm not talking about the kings) lived like a family before the Brits arrived. The fact that they struggled together in 1857 against the British is a testament to that. Brit's had a vested interest in partition, they didn't want India to join the communist bloc with China and Russia as it would have been a huge existential threat to the west. By dividing India into 2 countries that are always at each others throats, they ensured that subcontinent can never reach it's full potential.

Some people are really being unfair.
You cannot blame the the current population for something the older generation did... It's not fair or right. 👎🏼

I know Silverbug/Zxion but problem is that there is no way I can reasonably counter or explain you without veering off topic from the show, so perhaps another day I would love to take you up guys on Debate mansion but at this present time simply on topic with Mr Khan himself.
Im not saying anybody was a saint in this history but given the situation he should not get political and issue outrageous statements which have no bearing to his show, I think we can all agree that he did got carried away with his joke which was in bad humor and people who have their loyalties abroad are bound to feel incensed from their point of view.

Really?... I dare ask kya seekhna chahiye tha? Song and dance? Drive over people, beat up women? How convenient of him to forget the entire history of what, when, why, how. 🤓

How is this derogatory?? He is just stating a FACT that the British came to get spices and screwed us over. It's the truth. It's pretty much like if in America you see a Cauacasion and an African American hugging and mingling and you say, their ancestors should learn something from them.
