i am a bangladeshi and for few months i had to stay in india. i am pretty fluent in english and can also talk in hindi but obviusly not dat good...the problems were gender related words in hindi which we dont have...and as pakistanis talk in urdu..we bangladeshis have no relation with hindi or urdu...and also our movie theaters never show any hindi movies... so basically we r weak in hindi...but i wud want to add that my frds were so nice..they never made fun of me...except sometimes when i also joined them...and i noticed some Indians have this weird accent that can b termed as indian english...i hav seen ppl in bigg boss talking in that accent...and seriously it is very normal to have their own accent in the language...but the way these inmates thought they r superior...i was shocked... Asif was bullied over and over... and i dont think they have any idea what they r doing...because these housemates do not have that knowledge or education to behave legitimately ...and i respect Asif to behave decently...while he has one of the highest degrees and is a supermodel where gauhar herself is not a big name as him in the fashion world...i would like to invite these petty actors and vjs to my country..and c the importance of my language over here as we fought for our language...along wid my civilised indian frds...but thn again may b its not worth it...we may b a poorer country...but we live and stand with self esteem... nd im really proud of Asif he never went confronting these ppl as the knowledge they need to understand him is lacking...i think many indians loved him for his honesty...even if he was from another country...hats off to those Indians and all other worldwide viewers who loved him.. we will never misunderstand India for these 10 ppl's behavior.one sentence for Asif..i dont think these dirt will ever affect him...as his life is far beyond these petty issues!
Well said. You are Bangladeshi, maybe you can elaborate for the people who are not understanding why I brought up his nationality and how Bangladeshis will see this debate. Bangladeshis have a very great love for their language and languages in general. They died for it. So yes, when you make fun of their lack in a language, they take it quite personally. Am I wrong in understanding that?
