WOW!!! Hats off! A classic example of an overreacting pet owner (kindly join the bandwagon on YouTube. There are many more, just like you, in the COMMENTS' section of the various pet videos).
For your kind information, my dear, in Hindi / Urdu, a dog is called a kutta, and a female dog is a kutiya (not kutti, which apparently translates to the derogatory term, bitch). Have you ever studied Hindi / Urdu? Have you ever had the chance to sit through an elementary Hindi / Urdu class? What did your teacher say was the Hindi / Urdu equivalent of "dog" when you were supposed to write the names of ANY FIVE DOMESTIC ANIMALS IN HINDI / URDU? Please don't tell me you wrote Shree Kutta ji (in Hindi) or Janaab Sag-e-Muhtaram (in Urdu)!
When you see a dog on street (pariah dog, for example), and it comes running after you, what do you say? Hey, dekho, Shree Kutta charan ji mera peechha kar rahe hain. Please bachao mujhe? Nahin na? Then what are you overreacting for? There is a wide majority of Indians who do not address their pets with their given names, although they do take the pride in naming them.
I am a cat person. My first cat's name was Fluffy and second's, Maano (from Maana in Punjabi for a cat). On occasion, she was called billi by almost all of us in the house. My mom would never call them Fluffy or Maano. Was she disrespecting them?
I am not a Gauhar fan, but what she said was absolutely right! If they have touched the dog (the kutta), they better go wash their hands. It's only common sense to do so. You're only overreacting because you have made up your mind that kutta is only used as a term of verbal abuse.
