I don't think this question affected Arman in any way, he was busy justifying his act rather than feeling guilty of backstabbing Anita and for bullying Asif.

Inasmuch as I am glad the liar got exposed, I have a gut feeling that the caller was one of their own staff or rented chamchas. I don't think that was a genuine caller.
