When Salman asked how Shilpa and Apurva got married, Shilpa said many things plus that both of them were Brahmins...I was wondering, had Apurva been a non-Brahmin, had she not married him despite being in so much love with him or so claimed by her? At least they should not bring caste issues on national television...

I always knew there had to be a reason why they got married. Glad she clarified that.

This is not the first time it has happened. In season 5 Juhi parmar also said "I will show what asli Rajput is all about".

I don't think it matters though, people often marry within their religion/culture/caste/race for compatibility, similarities and not necessarily because they dislike or look down on others.

Besides caste is a reality in India. Atleast she is being honest about it unlike many others who say they are not casteist but despise other castes.

sorry but u r wrongly informed...orthodoxy runs in all castes depending upon family... you can't generlise...u know, high-heeled youth in urban india (metros) don't even wot caste they belong...rural india still finds itself in the shackles of caste and communities...seems this woman shilpa hailed from some village of dehradun (gharwal), where i know orthodoxy reigns supreme, but again, it all depends on family. Education is the key

u know i was about to write about that, but u mentioned it first...there's someting common between these two women...both hail from small towns...though juhi says she's from jaipur, probably some village in jaipur distrct and same is true for shilpa as well...they are in glamour industry, but they lack something...these women prove very important point, modern or western clothes cannot hide ur village mentalitiy.
