I think Salman wanted to say that at this last stage of the show every1 should be competitive . Imagine if like Rishabh/rochelle the other 2 couples fought over who should be captain and could not make any decision , may be Bigg Boss would have given them a new task which featured 6 of them or a completely new task . At this final stage sacrificing immunity is foolishness and proves nothing

Salman or the bigg boss show creators are just trying to pass the message to contestants to be serious about the game.

Salman may appear milder on some or stronger on some, but each contestant was given the message in a way they understand it.

If he actually meant that then why did he bash Rishabh for not giving up captaincy for Rochelle?

^ I think his point regarding Rishabd were a, the stubbornness both Rishabd and Rochelle showed rather than determination. And b, Rishabd started talking about how he wished to give up the task a 'Christmas gift' to Rochelle upon which Sallu asked him why he backed off of his own good intention.

When Priya gave her clarification regarding why she let Suyyash go, Sallu didn't bother asking her again because she made a good point. Whether it was genuine from her side only she knows but she wasn't contradicting herself there.
