Time outs - a mother/caregivers best friend. A tool I use often with my kids when I know shouting, explaining , etc. will be of no use. As a mother of two boys, I use time out quite a lot.
But then are days when nothing really works with them. I keep shouting and I give timeouts and I still find myself stressed and angry. Over time I have realized that these times the problem is not them, but it is me. There are times when I stressed, busy, sleep-deprived or just not feeling well. This is when I find myself snapping way too often for the smallest of the things. Sometimes even simple logic goes out the door!!!
This is when I take time outs for myself. I go for a walk by myself, watch mindless TV, sit alone in a locked room, whatever. Just away from all people and everything that could make me angry.
So yes, in conclusion, I think Rochelle seems to be in need of a major Time Out!!!😉
We have crossed the half way mark. Tasks are getting harder. Friendships and alliances are changing daily and rapidly. They have been getting a lot more feedback in the last 2-3 weeks. Plus Rochelle has had the added worry about her BF who left all of sudden (and thank God he is back😃).
I think the stress of all this has gotten to this Lady...big time. I know she has always been a bit of a loud mouth and did lose her temper once in a while and lets not forget the butting into every conversation bit. But the Rochelle I am seeing since the last week or so, is not the Rochelle we have seen since the beginning.
Her behavior these days is exaggerated and over the top. It could be over confidence but my experience says that it is stress. And the worse thing is she is spoiling her image and her game due to this. She has shown a lot of growth since the show started but now she is rapidly going downhill. I really hope, for her own good, she takes some time off, alone and assess her own behavior. Hopefully, her conversation with Keith today may help.
She has proven her mettle and deserves to be in top 5 and I would hate to see her leave sooner. But at this rate, she might just leave in the next 3 weeks or so.
Would love to hear your views. At the sametime, I would appreciate if this could be a healthy discussion topic and not a bashing thread.
