Theres a difference between respecting women and sexism.
When Prince says to Rishab that 'ladko ko deta na task' or when Rochelle says 'women were being targeted', it was so disappointing!

Kishwar (however wrong she is overall) proved her mettle by doing that task for 3.5 hours, and thats something no other housemate would have done, regardless of whether they are male or female.

Risabh spoke well when confronted about this... he said 'where I come from, women are leading in everything, so I don't underestimate girls!'
THIS mentality is respectful, because you're treating women as equal, as they rightly are.
Prince (in his attempt to be respectful) infact made women sound weaker.

These things get lost somewhere in the pretence of women empowerment etc.. its upsetting.
Kishwar did the task so well and then everyone just dampened it by claiming that 'ladki' ne 3.5 hrs kiya and Yuvika was all like 'Mandana aap bhi ladki ho, aap rok sakte thay'..

What? Sirf ladkiya have to empathize with other women?
Women are called equal when it is convenient to the HM's...

P.S. Not that it matters, but I'm a girl too. So its not a male OR misogynist writing it.

I agree with this a 100% !!!
Also when Prince was telling Rishabh to not scream at Rochelle for swearing at his sister, and to respect that she's a woman I wanted to punch him. If Rochelle has the balls to unnecessarily swear at Rishabh and degrade his sister ( who isn't even there to defend herself) then she should have the balls to deal with the backlash of it.

A lot of times, especially in the case of ignorant people ( even women) the idea of gender equality is mistaken for placing women on a pedestal when that is not what EQUALITY is.

On one hand we want to be treated equally to men, and on the other hand we want special treatment and be excused from certain tasks because we are women. This is what Ro was arguing which I found was utterly stupid on her part.

Yes, in our culture women are often treated below men and disrespected, but the respect that we demand should come from just that, respect, not fear.

Exactly! A woman abusing is equally bad as a man abusing, so Rishab reacted instinctively just as he would have if it was a guy in front of him! It was terrible of Prince to defend Rochelle by saying she is a girl.

The misconception about Feminism is the same! Feminism is actually synonymous with Equality, but most people (due to lack of awareness, etc) misconstrue it for giving women special rights.
