Your assuming chess is parallel to Big boss. The point of big boss is to provoke (usually involving offensive comments) the other party enough in order to WIN the game. Which big boss has constantly reminded the contestants.
Chess is a game of skill - usually a silent game.
Chess cannot be likened to "holding a button" for example. There's no parallel reasoning here.

so let's change the rules shall we?

SO if chess WAS a game where winning was not determined by skill - but rather by provoking the other party - and if I lost to said person because said person was able to provoke me - then yes - it's fair. He/She deserved to win - according to the rules of the game.
