Its amazing how GG fans can't see GG is a fraud. The fact is he thought of his mother only when he realized his Bathroom Leela was shown outside. If indeed he was sincere like all GG fans claim he would have kept a CLEAN image right from DAY1 with respect to his dear Mom.

He goes behind is MOM's back and has relationships and then later on being caught tries to play Mama's boy card.

He has betrayed his MOM here.

Gautam is far more sensible in this regard.

That denial wasn't because of his mother but because of his "Image"...He won't have appeared bad as a person if he had handled that situation maturely and never claimed to be "Saaf dil ka insaan" now he is coward,selfish and dirty player..
