reason for upens need for footage

This could just be me overthinking things but is Upen doing all this nonsense because he knows he is out this week? Picking fights with HMs, refusing to do work, saying he is cornered and even saying Karishma isn't fair. In precap making Karishma do all this work...why go against the one person that likes you? I just feel he is out this week and so BB team is giving him some footage.
