Alil Quli is misunderstood by everybody. He said he is not like that in real life. He was just having fun as he is in the game show. Those tears were real.

All he has done is tried to make friends with everyone ? What is he supposed to do ? Karishma, Arya are his friends from outside, he can't ignore them and he can't support them either because Karishma was clearly going wrong. He clearly said to Renee that there are people in both groups who are playing very shrewd game (hinting towards Karishma and Praneet) and not acting like how they are outside.

He is basically stuck between two groups.
