Honestly, I dont think thats any of his intentions, its just like a spontaneous reactions to other members' attitude towards him and this will continue to get worse unless they all sort it out with Gautam. People thinking about this attitude being a part of his "game" should really consider the fact that if he were wise enough, we wouldnt be seeing him in such a state today.
