He needs to leave asap. He has contributed nothing to the show so far and whatever side the kaurava's gang is on, he swings to that side and even they can only carry the dead weight for so long.

As much as I dislike 100 pound Soni with that mouth of hers that keeps spewing hindi gaali's, today in particular bothered me when Upen just sit there twiddling on his thumbs when Punz was openly criticizing her for giving him food and eating more than others in the house.

Okay.. if it was only Soni on the chopping board, it might have made SOME sense for him to want to stay out no matter how selfish that might have been, but here is someone in the house putting down his "sis soni's" food intake and dragging his name to the mud as well but he just sits there zoned out? And he doesn't even offer a tissue later on because he is too busy lounging in the bedroom with the gossip aunties?

He doesn't really care for any one...lazy bum! Cannot stand up for any woman he befriends! Isko bas ghar ke ek kone mein aurton ke saath gossip karna aata hai!!

he is not there for anyone but himself, just riding on backs of others to stay safe as long as possible ... what others do for him dsnt matter, coz they are doing it out of their own wish, so he just takes n takes without giving back! ek taraf se dekha jae toh usme woh galat bhi nahi hai, he didn't ask for it (not that im aware of it)

Im surprised to see the Upen-hate. I mean I personally feel like hes being smart by staying out of the way.

I like him and Sonali because they don't get too involved in things yet maintain cordial relationships with the others. Why does he need to be some kind of activist for anyone?

You have a point, but Upen is as much a part of the "bro-sis" angle he has going with Soni and he has benefitted from it as much as she has.. or even more I'd say. He could have opened his mouth to say something - anything - in order to defend his own honor if not Soni's because Punz accused both of them of eating em out of the house. It was a direct jab at Soni but an indirect one at Upen. That situation called for some reaction from him and not complete indifference. If he can't even do that much, he is nothing but a liability to anyone who bothers to befriend him and I don't see why anyone would want to portray a character like that even in a game show.

He comes across as this deadbeat freeloader and on top of that, doesn't even TRY to bail his friends when others point fingers at them for doing something for HIM.

Speaking up when someone is attacking you indirectly does not indicate "staying out of the way." It smacks of passiveness and lack of spine, none of which I admire in people. Hence the development of a negative opinion on him.

True

On one hand you have ppl hating diandra, Karishma, puneet etc because they b$&tch too much and create problems

On the other hand you have people hating Upen because he doesn't get involved and mostly keeps to himself.

Then they dislike Natasha because she doesn't create problems.
