Public is in support of Gulati because he has been tolerating. If he gives it back to Tanna in kind, then he will be defamed for behaving like that with a woman and Tanna will get sympathy from public. This is why in previous seasons too, some women used to provoke men by picking up fights without any proper reason, screaming, being rude, being manner-less and making insulting remarks.
