Weren't the makers aware of his underworld background?

From today's episode it's become pretty clear who he is and why shalin got intimated by his threats. Looks like he knows his reality very well and the kind of people he is associated with aur jinke dum pe this guy threatens contestants at the drop of hat. They have also realized the danger that this guy's is and trying their best to not to get in his bad book.

From what I have gathered so far, BB himself is an immoral person jo apne show ke liye kisi ki bhi jaan ko khatre mein daal sakta hai...the makers and salman have encouraged him to a point where he is on cameras threatening to kidnap and kill contestants even during random si tu tu mein mein. Woh bechare yaha apna naam aur paisa kamane aaye the par abhi jaan pe ban aayi hai.
