There’s something that isn’s sitting right with me in all this “Ankit and Priyanka” rasleela.
Let’s start saying that i didn’t know anything about their off screen dynamics so, curiosity stuck with me especially after having seen the craziness around the ship “Priyankit” which is basically a very well branded name. But I will reach to this later. I did some digging to know more.
Ankit and Priyanka started to work together for this show Udaariyaan, a show that was basically sinking after barely 6 months of breathe but by a miraculous turn of events, became channel’s top show, reaching even 3.0 in trp game. The “miracle” happened when both Priyanka and Ankit’s characters were paired together and married in the show. Fatejo ship (characters name) despite the shitty storyline of affair, were hyped so much making them a brand for the show, channel and…even outside.
Both Ankit and Priyanka had a joint YouTube channel called “Fatejo vlogs” with thousands of subscribers. They also had a day of the week where they used to post a pic or reel. Lovely called “Priyankit’s day”. A very well planned business that made them wonders. A dead show got alive thanks to all these antics but then everything stopped.
After London’s filming the bond broke. 5 months went by like this in which…Ankit claimed as his the YouTube channel, changing its name and losing so many subscribers. Ankit was mostly loved and appreciated in those vlogs videos thanks to Priyanka’s bubbling personality, but there are many hints of him being quite rude, even on set.
Through Priyanka in LF we got to know about Ankit’s allegedly jealousy in London and about a pardesi guy that made Ankit warn Priyanka to not speak further about the matter. Shippers made it look like a cute nok johk between the two, but with all the pieces we got from BB and outside, we can say that yes, Priyanka is problematic but Ankit? There’s one interview of Ankit saying that he would never do BB but…where is he now? Okay, money do make people do the unthinkable and that’s where my whole point is reaching.
Why an introvert, not interested one bit to the game’s dynamics would accept to be stuck in a house for months, and do love lapata with a girl he broke ties with?
Cause let’s be honest, both can play dumb but channel brought them in with that intention and they know. In that same LF i mentioned, Priyanka was telling how Ankit came to her few days before entering the game and that’s how they rekindled their friendship. Ankit himself jokingly said that she hugged and kissed him after having seen his pretty face. So…the patch up happened just in time for BB and initiated by Ankit himself.
I don’t want to speculate too much about their personal equation, but Priyanka be outside and inside is very transparent about her feelings for him, she herself said that outside Ankit wasn’t like he is in the house with her and that she did everything always. He basically love bombed her in the house and made her hoping for something more. Even when Salman asked about their status, he reacted super fast and said looking at Priyanka "sirf dosti", her face fell so hard. Now the whole “I, me an myself” narrative is set and won’t go away but Priyanka is very honest and that’s a thing that even her foes recognise.
Everyone are saying that Priyanka is spoiling Ankit’s game…but which game are we talking about?
While Priyanka be alone or with a partner would have shined in the game cause she is totally BB’s material. Ankit for 2 months did nothing. He didn’t stand for himself or for his allegedly BFF or whatever. But he did something, he set the bechara narrative. He kept silent and quiet. He made Sajid his second BFF in the house and had on/off bond with everyone. Ankit also seems to have a great knowledge about the game and past contestants. Even BB said “you think like me”.
According to me, Ankit came with a well planned game.
Using Priyanka’s personality and love for him to set the bechara angle, but at the same time made sure to handle her to not lose the “Priyankit” voting bank. I don’t know if you noticed but both carry in the house one bottle with written Priyankit on it (sponsoring the ship name at best). Just like he did for their YouTube channel. He made himself good thanks to her. She lost her plot and his was uplifted. You all think that he will avoid her but that’s the biggest mistake😆. Priyanka is still strong in the game and he knows. And an Ankit vs Priyanka can only works for tasks but then? She's fearless than him and her stands are strong, while Ankit what will do? join mandli and be the next in line with the "sir, sir,sir..." jaap?. Also. he is equally obsessed with her and was visible more than once. By how he looks at her (the way he looked at her during the terrace's hug for example gave me creepy vibes, especially if he isn't her BF) or when he uses force to stop her to go away (girls, all that ain’t romantic or hot👎🏼) He also knows how much money a BB’s couple cash thanks to his knowledge. He will use Priyankit’s brand and Priyanka’s love for him till it will give profit. He won’t accept to lose the emotional grip and influence he has on her, that’s why made sure to brother zone all the guys in early weeks, even Abdu. To keep their closeness just between them. To make her play for him but then stating “I never asked you”. Ankit alone will be another Sajid’s assistant and he knows. He will emotionally play with Priyanka, dragging fights and patch up, even for days...cause they will be highlighted and will give trp to channel. Audience will hate her more and he will be good cause "wow Ankit is shining without witch Priyanka"🤣.
Look at TejRan their relationship cash so well, what Ankit will gain as a solo winner? (If he will) He was brought in to the channel to basically sell Priyankit and he will cash on it, but on his own way/terms. He is a red walking flag and a mastermind. While Priyanka proved more than once to not be so smart in terms of scheming😵
But you all aren’t ready to see this.
