he said that the viewership of the channel speaks hindi , and that is the audience we are catering to. if they want to speak marathi, they can go on marathi big boss. if ur bread and butter is driven by hindi language speaking audience then speak hindi. that was the point.

You are referring to Nishant and Teja’s conversation while they were discussing and laughing about the SADDA KUTTA TOMMY topic, with Rashmi on the side. The rest of us are referring to the KHUSH MIZAAJ vs massage vs mijaas vs mijaaz laughter riot between Nishant and Teja while they were hanging out under the dining table.

Why do they keep promoting Hindi as our rashtrabhasha?? Since when did Hindi become our national language?? 🙄

Yes, indeed. They are just trying to keep their paymasters happy. It's so sly, the way they just slinked it in. I've seen Teja and Nishant have far longer conversations in Marathi, without any interventions on the part of Bada Bhaiyya. As for conversations in English, the less said the better.

The issue is regarding describing Hindi as the 'national' language. The same message can be conveyed without making that inference.

P. S. My personal opinion is that pure Hindi (and not the hindi infected by urdu) should be India's national language. We need a common language. But that's not happening. 🤪

We have shared cultures, and many of our languages are linguistically related as well, so I'm not on the side of having a common language, that too Hindi, which is imposed in many parts of the country, rather than embraced.

Dekhiye, there are many languages spoken in India, and 23 are recognized as official in the 8th schedule.

Many countries in the world (especially the developed world) such as most European countries went for a monolingual linguistic policy - one nation, one language. Many of them also had other languages but slowly most of them died a slow death, with the older generations that spoke it dying and some language speakers are still waging independence movements based on their different linguistic and cultural identity because a language is not just a language but the expression of an entire culture and ethos.

India chose to keep its myriad languages alive and kicking by choosing a multilingual linguistic policy.

I quite like the idea of keeping languages alive. So am happy with what's happening in India because despite all these differences, there indeed is unity in diversity. There is something that unites us all, i.e. being Indian.

Sorry guys for taking off like this on a totally unrelated topic to BB but well India does not have a Rashtrabhasha and DaddyMarvel did the right thing to point this out!

Roshan this is for you - 🤗

Well, Bigg Boss caters to City audiences outside Maharashtra too.

I suppose if BB is Hindi-English mixed it's best. No need to use tough Hindi words, being a Bengali its difficult for me and some others. How Shamita speaks I like it... much better than Punjabi mixed Hindi or Marathi.

I don’t understand contestants when they speak in other languages so I’m glad Bigg Boss told them to speak in Hindi
