Yes, it's a serious topic.....if it bores you, sorry ignore it, but I have to address some of the biases our society has & this forum reflects. As an educated individual, I take offence when society as a whole does something wrong or supports something wrong, even if I am alone, I will stay forum with my opinion & do that every season.
Why the hate against Bollywood? This is a fake narrative started with Sushant Singh Rajput death. It clearly shows on Twitter & IF that a contestant gets bashed for any small reasons just because that person is connected to Bollywood. TV actors also gang up on Bollywood these days without giving fair chance. Whether it is Aryan Khan or BB contestant give a chance to know a person, don't pre-judge.
Speaking in English is elitism? Why? In a Hindi show, speaking any other language is equally wrong, and all are offenders. But BIGGEST person at falt is BB creatives, BB OTT allowed a lot of English because VOOT watchers are primarily English speaking, so obviously, the flow continued. And why Marathi or Punjabi speaking is not elitism? That's your colonial insecurity speaking.. sorry to say this, but English s India's national language too.
Stating your opinion firmly is dominating? Was Siddharth Shukla dominating? Was Gautam Gulati dominating? No right... may be Guahar was dominating or Rubina was right? That's your patriarchy speaking. You focus on her controlling her boyfriend, you dont focus her on cutting vegetables or washing dishes? Why because women are born to be maids & men are worshipped when they do no housework ( a past winner who is no more). I thik BB is a show to show personality & take stands, for me I will never vote for a person who never speaks up, bitches behind back, even if he a BIG TV name & is face of MTV shows.
Age shaming? Why Rashami or Afsana keeps referring to her as old/ senior etc? Is it insecurity speaking of your body weight & failure to maintain yourself? Sorry I will prefer a HOT aunty over dull-looking personality-less kiddo.
In the end, I see her as dominating, speaking her mind, well dressed, good looking, impeccably styled, always taking a stand, can persuade people in her way, and fixes relationships with people even after fighting: THESE ARE qualities of a winner. If you have not judged Siddharth Shukla, don't judge her too.
Now, I have not named anybody. But if you have these judgments & pseudo notions, you yourself will know it's about whoom!
