Pls someone tell me why is Ishan so scared? image etc? what happened outside?

Rajiv was his boyfriend in his struggling days as per rumours

Ieshaan and Miesha had this conversation one day wherein he admitted that he had, to further his career and get more work, queer-baited a guy and things didn't end on a good note. Apparently Miesha knows the dude in question as well, however they aren't friendly anymore as per her.

Ieshaan was asking Miesha not to pay heed to any conversation regarding this matter if she gets evicted before him since the guy he queer-baited has a vendetta against him and even threatened to end his career.

When Rajiv entered, he used words like "I've done so much for this guy, stuff I cannot say on national television etcetera."

Now, because Rajiv is so well connected and a dude, Ieshaan panicked that people outside would take this as a confirmation of Rajiv being the guy he and Miesha talked of, and that the audiences will think of him being gay or bisexual and speculate about his sexual orientation and this in turn will affect his image negatively.

However, what I fail to grasp is, in what world is this Rajiv's fault? Ieshaan and Miesha gave rise to this speculation and not Rajiv.
