Why the backlash over dance performance with Sid & girls?

I'm pretty surprised people are so mad about that dance performance with Sid & the girls, & passing comments such as ''girls crossed all limits'' & such nonsense. Which era are we on again? Why such ridiculous backward mentality?

I didn't find anything wrong with that dance, it was a sexy dance meant for fun. Heck even Abhinav who's Rubina's hubby was seen having fun in the background & cheering her on!

Why Indian women have to be 'sanskari & sati savitri' to be considered good? why can't they be bold & confident like Nikki, Pavitra, Jasmine & Rubina? Have y'all seen BB Canada? they have house party every year where they all have fun kissing & playing sexy games with each other.. why is being sexy still a taboo in India?

I can't believe in 2020, some of us Indians are still narrow minded!👎🏼

I have no problem with sexiness nor bold scenes on tv or movies.

The only problem I had with it was it was utter cringy.. to watch.

Also, didn’t like the fact that the girls were behaving this way to ‘please’ Sid to win.. I mean the concept was degrading to women in some way.

Why do they need to use their sexuality to go ahead?

Why can't we treat it as a steamy dance performance only? The girls are all actors & they were all acting/performing, that's all that was.

It's not like they were using their sexuality to go ahead, they were just performing as it was meant to be a sexy dance performance. Just like any other sexy dance routine a movie.

It's not about the just mindset here. It's about how it was coming out when you were watching it. This is not Canada, This is BB India, A Hindi program which is even watched by kids.

The problem was not with the girls, but it was with what they were TOLD to do to win a stupid task. And then how they were doing it. Nikki's act to me did look cringeworthy and uncomfortable to watch for some reason.

This whole concept of the task was degrading.

I have no issues with bold scenes etc on TV, but this definitely doesn't come across as watchable stuff. BB can actually do better than these cheap acts!!😓😓

Please check on Voot's BB page, the episodes are all rated 16+, which means BB was never advertised as a show meant to be seen by kids, it's an adult show. Which parents would let their kids watch a show that thrives on negativity & fights? That's an absurd thing to say.

Just because it's BB India, it has to be sanskari, why so?! Why can't women or even men celebrate their sexuality? Why is sexy still seen as a taboo in India? It is narrow minded!

There was nothing cheap about that dance, it was a dance performance & the girls were all acting. It was like a sexy dance routine that we see often in movies, nothing wrong or cheap about it.

Because it was not.. it was not just a sexy performance, the girls climbing on top of Shukla to please him.. one Shukla in the middle while all the girls try to please him and get his attention if they don’t they are out of the game.

I mean in India, women already seen as sexual objects that are made to play with by many trashy men so we don’t need to see BB add to it.

I disagree. Sid is an actor, so are the girls, they were all acting. Sid had to chose the ones who acted best according to him, simple concept.

All that looked forced and for the camera. Also is being sleazy the only talent people have these days?! Or do people use it as a quick means to become the talking point?!

Because it was for the cameras, they were all performing/acting for the cameras. Just like actresses do when they perform a sexy song in a movie.

I don't see it as anything sleazy/cheap, but instead sexy! They're confident, sexy, beautiful & talented women, so nothing wrong to flaunt it.

Just because it was never advirtised to be the kids show or rated as 16+ does not means that kids will not watch the show. Is this enough to stop kids from watching this absurdity in the name of entertainment??😓😓

I disagree with all your points strongly and I don't think it was just a performance. It was cringeworthy to watch for some reason and it wasn't looking good on TV!!😓😓

I'm sure you have seen BB's previous seasons when it was not this absurd. But now in the name of tasks, they show absurdity. It's not about being narrow minded, its about how it was coming out.

I never said BB India needs to be sankskaari but it does NOT need to be vulgar/absurd either.

It was not a just a dance performance. The way Nikki was all over Shukla, it was looking cringeworthy. Those acts are not natural, but forced and for what?! Just for the sake of a stupid task. I don't really agree.
